Is it just the environment?

There has been so much discussion about plastic pollution in the global community that we have forgotten that plastic is also harmful to individuals. Most plastic utensils contain cancer-causing agents such as polystyrene, which can leach into food and drinks at or above 140℉.

However, not all wooden utensils are a better option. The majority of wooden utensil manufacturers bleach their products. Bleached utensils contain carcinogenic chlorine compounds that harm the reproductive and immune systems.

At ECOWOOD Store, we make our utensils from virgin birch wood and do not add any chemicals. Our products are excellent with hot temperatures and have a soft natural scent. Our cutlery set would be a great alternative to the plastic sets used for individual or commercial use.
